Mortgage Overpayment vs Arrears
Does anyone know: If someone has overpaid their interest only mortgage for 5 years and then does not pay the mortgage for several months, would the mortgage account be considered 'in arrears' at the point of the first non-payment or when the non-payment amount exceeds the total of prior years' overpayment? Does anyone know of a lender who will take benefits as an income for a mortgage? I get DLA and IS but lenders seem not to want to take all the income into account when working out their lending multiple, and so only offer a paltry amount. Any recommendations?
