I currently have a 25 year old oil burner that needs replacing. Or Should I stick with Oil and still use the immersion, Or Stick with…

Air Source Heat Pumps
We recently moved into a house where, due to various issues, we were unable to get gas installed in our house and we also hated our storage heaters, like many others that I have read about on here. VAT on fuel tax - Is this legal?
I think there must be something unethical with the price of fuel. Let me explain. Much of the price of fuel is actually tax. For about every £10 we put in our tank I think about £9 is tax. On top of this we are paying 17.5% VAT. Theoretically, for every £10 of fuel I'm sure we should only pay 17.5p, i.e. the VAT on the…

emersion heater costs?
I was just wondering if anybody knows in general as to whether it is cheaper to leave the emersion heater on 24 hours a day, or to switch it on when we need sufficient water for a bath etc? Not only would this help with our electricity bill but also settle a 2year+ argument!! Thank you
