Why do I have 0% eligibility for a loan/ balance transfer?
The eligibility calculator gives me 0% likely eligibility for all loans and balance tranfers (except the ultra high interest ones). I have a 20k full-time salary, £440 rent in a house I've lived in for 8 years and I'm single with 0 dependants, so a 5k-7.5k loan would be very affordable to me. Although This would be to pay…

Early settlement
Hi there, I recently contacted PRA Group with whom I have an old Lloyd’s Debt which now stands at £1050. It was around £3500. I am paying them £20 per month. I have had this debt for many years. I recently asked for an early settlement figure as I have inherited some money and want to clear my debts. The figure they gave…

BBLS - My bank doesn't offer it!
Hi all, I am like many who seem to have fallen in between the cracks. My bank (Nationwide) doesn't offer the BBLS and no other bank/institute will let me apply. I didn't need the loan originally so held off for not wanting to get it for the sake of it, now feel like I am being punished. Does anyone have any information…

Claim under Section 75?
I apologise if this post isn't in the correct forum but I'm not sure where it should go.Long story, short - I bought 3 sofas from DFS (delivered in July 2020). I originally paid £500 deposit on a Visa DEBIT card but the remainder was on finance (£3,625). They were (stupidly) bought online as the range are not stocked in…

Interest free loan (price increased to cover interest)
This is happening at a dental practice which offers interest-free payment plans on treatment. The course of treatment costs £1000 which is offered to patients who pay without taking on a loan. If the patient wants to accept the interest-free offer, the cost is inflated by 10%. The patient is then offered an interest-free…

Hi, after some advice about old style student loan. So far I have been deferring the loan, but this year the threshold has gone down and now I will have to start paying. Increasing existing loan
Hi. My wife has a loan with Halifax, been paying 2 years on it now, she has the option to increase the lending on it which would benefit us as the interest rate is lower on her quote than what I owe on my loan for consolidating. We would be borrowing about 3500 more but over a slightly longer period than what remains on…

Looking to get a loan quickly, which should I get?
A little about my situation. I'm unemployed but looking to develop what I aim to be my full time business. I've never taken out a loan before but my funds are dwindling and I need to get a buffer so that I can work full time on this business instead of grabbing another job, and having less time. I feel that this would pay…

StudentLoan_Erudio
1996 took a small student loan out for about £1,000, maybe £1,500. In 1999, although on NMW, repaid about £90pm for a few months then I changed jobs and assumed Wescot would contact me if they wanted any payments. This summer I applied to SFE for an OU degree but have been refused and informed, after contacting Wescot who…

Multiple Defaults Need Advice
Hi all, I am a long time reader and first time poster in need of some advice desperately. When I was young and a student I made some pretty stupid mistakes and ended up burying my head in the sand rather than try to deal with the problem. Recently I have been trying to sort my problems out as I do want to get a mortgage…
