Credit agreements

A few weeks ago I posted about a 14 year old loan which Has been re sold on a few times. I contacted the company using a template that said they had to provide a credit agreement within 12 working days.

It's been 15 working days and have received or heard nothing, what are my next steps?

  • Nothing I imagine.  I suppose it depends on what you want them to do. If you're after a reduced settlement because of a lack of a CCA I'd probably wait a bit until you approach them (I'd give them another 3-4 weeks myself).  They may have 12 days to send it to you but as a result of something beginning with C and ending in oronavirus that's has made the news a few times recently, expecting companies to act under normal timescales isn't reasonable.  And if they still think they can get it they're not going to entertain a low ball offer in the meantime (and to be fair they don't have to even with no CCA.)

The 12 working days are just guidelines, expect to wait 3-6 months, maybe longer, sometimes the request does not even get an acknowledgement, if you don`t get a responce withing 6 weeks, write again and remind them of their obligation to comply.
