S&S ISA Platforms
Hi, I am having S&S ISA with Vanguard on VLS founds, to reduce the risk of a platform, should I apply to another platform such as AJ Bell on HSBC global strategy, then invest in turn yearly? Many thanks!

Cash, S&S, HTB.
Hello, I have read through the guides, stickies etc - before anyone suggests I should! I am just looking for some advice/clarification. - I want to maximise my £20,000 limit for ISAs. - My original plan is to invest £17,000 in a cash ISA then a further £3000 in a stocks and shares ISA. - However I would move £200 per month…

Cash ISA to Help to Buy
Hi, I currently have a HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA, which has been used as a flexible savings account including contributions this year. I have opened a Help to Buy ISA (not a split-ISA), and would like to self-transfer some of the balance of the Cash ISA, but have yet to pay an amount in to the Help to Buy ISA. Am I correct in…

Virgin cash eisa rate cut from 1.45% to 0.75%
Just been informed that the rate cut is effective from 31 January. This is cash eisa issue 15. Seems an odd time to cut, in the months leading up to the end of the tax year. Time for me to seriously look around for a better deal.

Can i have a HTB ISA when i have opened a LISA
I opened a Lifetime ISA one month ago and have paid in £5 at opening. Is there any way i can open a Help To Buy ISA before the deadline? Nationwide advised i could not open a HTB ISA with them as i have already paid into a LISA this tax year. However, they didn't seem too confident about this. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Muliple Lisa
Ok I am having trouble finding the answers go a few questions about lisas and help to buy isa. 1. Can I open a LISA every year in a similar way to a normal ISA, and if yes will the government bonus be applied to each LISA provided I credit the account? 2. If the answer to the the above question is yes to both parts, can I…

Split ISA Accounts/Allowance
Hiya I bank with Nationwide, who allow me to split my ISA allowance between a Cash ISA and a Help to Buy ISA. I'm looking at opening a Lifetime ISA with Moneybox, but I didn't think you could contribute to more than one ISA provider in a tax year. Has anyone else done this? Will it cause me any problems opening a Lifetime…

Open H2B? £250k unrealistic?
With all the warnings about H2B deadline, I was going to open one. However, the main issue I'm having is the £250k limit on the house buying. I live just outside London where any property under that limit is a tiny box room or run-down flat. When I do come to buy a property I'll be wanting a small family home which…

Multiple S&S ISA's
I am in the process of transferring a previous tax year's cash e-ISA with Natwest to Vanguard in order to invest the cash in their funds. My question is - would I be prevented from opening an additional S&S ISA this tax year or next in order to purchase individual shares?

Can my 16 year old son pay full amount in to Junior ISA (c£4k) and £200 per month in to H2B?
My 16 year old has had a Junior ISA for many years which has had the full amount paid in to it each April. This year March I got him to open a H2B ISA with Virgin Money with £1,200 and thereafter £200 per month. Have I done something wrong in paying the c£4.2k in to his Junior ISA and £1,200 followed by £200 per month in…

Withdrew funds from ISA after P2P investment went sour
Two years ago I invested £20,000 in an ‘Intelligent Finance’ ISA with a well-known peer-to-peer lending company. The investment performed well initially but then there were notable changes within the organisation, bad publicity, and a significant increase in the number of my loans being defaulted, so I decided it was time…

LISA or H2B ISA
My son is 16 and I'd like to get him enrolled on either a LISa or a H2B Isa. From what I've read, it seems a LISA is a better option than an ISA, but he's not eligible for one until he's 18. My question is, should I wait until he's 18, and get the LISA ball rolling then, or should I jump in now and get him a H2B Isa,…

S&S LISAs
Hi guys, I'm planning to go for a ready made stocks and shares LISA very soon (medium risk). If I put the max 4k in each year, would AJ Bell be the best one to go for, fees wise? Are there various portfolios to choose from and if so, what should I do?! Is it worth opening a H2B ISA as well, even if I don't put much into…

HTB applied for before deadline
I recently applied for a HTB ISA with NatWest via their online application form. Once all filled out there was a little statement that this account has been sort of "conditionally" agreed and that I will receive an email requesting more information (likely proof of address etc.). This was a few days ago and I have received…

Help to buy isa vs equity loan
Hi just a couple questions on the differences Am I right in thinking the isa and equity loan are separate things? They have to be applied for separately? They can be used in conjunction with each other? The isa does not have to be paid back but the equity loan does? Thanks Matt

Lifetime vs Help to Buy
Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some advice regarding Lifetime vs Help to Buy. I currently have a Help to Buy which I've been paying into for some time, but my partner doesn't and was looking to open one before the deadline. He currently has a few thousand in savings which he wants to put towards a first time buy which…

Nationwide H2B ISA not open yet
Hi I applied for the nationwide h2b ISA over 3 weeks ago. I’ve received an (on the 5th November) email saying I’ll be notified when my account is open and ready to use. The email said this should be within 5 days. I understand the high volume of applications they will be getting, but will this affect my ISA if I’ve not…

H2b isa
Can I take out a H2B ISA for my son? I watched the programme last night and saw Martin give a lady £1 to open an ISA for her grandson, but I thought you had to be a first time buyer to be able to open one? He has a LISA but we'd like to do something to help him too and the H2B ISA has a better interest rate.
