S&S LISAs

Options
Hi guys,
I'm planning to go for a ready made stocks and shares LISA very soon (medium risk). If I put the max 4k in each year, would AJ Bell be the best one to go for, fees wise? Are there various portfolios to choose from and if so, what should I do?!
Is it worth opening a H2B ISA as well, even if I don't put much into that one? Thanks

AJ Bell is a relatively cheap provider, and can be made very cheap if you don't mind investing in ETFs or other direct investments vs open-ended funds. You do have to select your own investments with AJ Bell, but there are good multi-asset funds available if you want a medium risk one fund solution. There are plenty of threads in the main savings and investments forum discussing the relative merits of these.

A H2B ISA is generally worth having if you qualify, whether or not you intend to use it for a house purchase as the rates on offer are higher than other savings accounts. If your intention is to use your LISA to fund a house purchase, then you need to be cautious about staying invested in the years leading up to the point you will buy your first home.
  • Ok interesting, thanks for the advice masonic :)
