Virgin Stocks and Shares ISA
I opened a Virgin S&S ISA a few months ago. It was hovering around the amount I had put into it however in the last 2 months it's dropped by £1.5k. Is this right? I've put in around £18k. Wondering whether to cut my losses and move it out or leave it in to see if the value increases. I knew it was a higher risk ISA when I…

From Cash into S&S ISA
I have used my full £20k allowance for this year into a cash ISA, which also contains money from previous years (almost £100k all in all). Having never 'dabbled' before, I'm keen to learn about and dip my toe into stocks and shares and would like to transfer £500 from my Cash ISA into a S&S ISA. Am I able to do this…

Non refundable deposit and using the LISA
I can't find any information on what would happen if you used a LISA for a deposit, pulled out after exchange of contracts and lost the deposit. Does anyone know the rules on this scenario? It has not happened to me, it is just something that has crossed my mind.

Junior stocks and shares ISA
I'm thinking of opening a junior stocks and shares ISA for each of my two children, as the savings accounts I currently use for them pay a relatively low interest rate, which is usually fixed for only 12 months, meaning I have to open a new one every year (and I can't be bothered doing this for the next 15 years). The…

More than one cash ISA?
Last year I consolidated my cash ISAs into a 1 year fixed ISA which matured this month. I have transferred the entire balance into another 1 year fixed ISA. I have not yet paid any additional funds from this year's allowance into it but if I am going to do it, I have to do it within 30 days. The problem is I won't have…

FSCS protection for Junior ISA
Hi all, Junior ISAs are held in the name of a child and belong to them. Are they treated the same for the purpose of FSCS limit? I.e. does the FSCS coverage limit apply to a child separately or is the coverage shared with that of the registered contact adult? Thank you, Crion

Put money in ISA or SIPP?
I'm just thinking about the best thing to do with dividend income from on ISA holdings. I feel it isnt a binary choice, Obviously recycling into a SIPP would get a minimum 20% tax relief and go some way to limiting exposure to higher rate tax. Over the long term the tax relief "boost" would also hopefully boost returns??…

In addition or alternatively, you may transfer existing ISAs from other providers into this account, up to the amount held. Does this mean that the maximum i can have in that isa account…

Move money from Flexible ISA?
Earlier this tax year I deposited the full 20k into a flexible cash ISA, I would ideally now like to put half of this into a stocks&shares ISA. Can anyone clarify if this is possible and which of any of these options is allowed. 1. Simply remove the money from the Flex ISA and deposit into S&S ISA 2. A transfer from one to…

Accidental payment into sons junior ISA
Hi all, Just checking to see if anyone has had any luck getting mistaken payments back from a junior ISA. The HMRC state that: Cash may be deposited into the JISA of an unconnected child in error. This could be the result of an error made by the bank or by the customer moving the money. HMRC understand that if the error is…

Flexible isa
Can I just check that I am understanding a flexible Isa correctly. According to MSE " flexibility works on three types of ISAs: cash ISAs, innovative finance ISAs and cash held in a stocks and shares ISA. If you withdraw current year's cash from one type, you are allowed to replace it in another type, eg, withdraw from a…

H.Lansdown & AJ Bell - Lifetime ISA
I was googling for Lifetime ISA providers as alternatives to H.Lansdown. I forever read that they're on the expensive side & at the moment i only have the £100 opening amount in there (actually like £130 with gains but just saying - nothing major). I noted AJ Bell at pretty much half the annual charge so i jumped on their…
