Interest on Cash ISA Deposits
Hi Is it better to top up my ISA as and when I have the funds or wait and make 1 big deposit just before the end of the financial year. In essence I want to know if Cash ISA deposits start earning interest from the date I make the deposit? Any advice welcome - thank you.

Couple first time buyers - one H2B and one LISA?
Hello I have had a H2B ISA for a few years now, and my girlfriend is looking to get ideally a LISA. We know we can use a LISA each or a H2B ISA each to get the bonus, but does anyone know if we can get bonuses from my H2B ISA and her LISA at the same time? (House under £250k obviously) Thank you!

ISA / Saving / Help to buy
I’m so confused  My wife and I currently rent and are just starting in the journey to save to buy our first house. I already have an Instant cash ISA with around £10k in. I have just set up a “help to buy ISA” for my wife and will be putting the maximum amount into that (£1200 followed by £200 a month) I have been…

Bed and ISA - How do I do this?
Hi all, I would like to move some of my shares I have from Barclays Smart Investor into an IWEB ISA due to the low cost fees. Just as an hypothetical case as I don't want everyone knowing of my personal finances! :p Just say, I have around £40k worth of shares, which gives me a profit of around £20k. Initial investment of…

F&C CIP vs. Junior ISA
All, I'm hoping for a little insight here regarding two child investment plans that I opened for my kids back in 2014.... I opened a couple of CIPs back in July 2014 as I wanted to create a nice little lump sum for when the kids grow up, but not being the smartest when it comes to finance I didn't realise at the time that…

Life after Help to Buy ISA
Hi all, I was fortunate enough to complete on a house in June of this year for which I used my Help to Buy ISA. Now, as I've already paid into that Help to Buy ISA this tax year, does that technically mean that I can't open and pay into another ISA of any sort?

Fixed Rate ISA top ups
I am really hoping that someone can help with my query as this has been bothering me for years! It was explained very poorly by my saving provider, so I thought I would have more luck here. I have a 5 Year Fixed Rate ISA. I have paid into the ISA only once when I first opened it, but have not touch it since. I am now into…

Help to Buy to LISA
My son moved a help to buy ISA to a LISA November last year. Today he was told he cannot get the bonus because the LISA is less than a year old. Does the opening date of the help to buy ISA count towards the start date of the LISA? If not he effectively loses both bonuses.

Closed and Withdrawn Cash ISA to current account
A 1-year fixed rate cash ISA I held with Virgin Money recently matured so I opted to withdraw the funds by transferring the total amount to my nominated account (current account with Halifax), and close the account. I also hold a help-to-buy ISA with Halifax and want to continue saving the £200 per month into this account…

Cash Isa Confusion
In May 2018 I closed my then cash ISA and moved the balance to another provider. I also then contributed the full £20k to that new provider (which is also easy access -I only have the one ISA). I now wish to move £10k out into another easy access cash ISA that I will open (so I won't be contributing anymore than I am…

Lifetime ISA withdrawal charges
Hi I’m in the process of buying my first house. I’ve been saving for a number of years and to cut a long story short, I have £12450 in a LISA. My deposit comes to £10,191 so there will be around £2250 left in the account. I have just spoken to Skipton who confirmed I would be charged 25% to withdraw the rest of my money.…

Confusion over ISA bonus limit
Hi there - this is my first post on the forum. I have some confusion with £250,000 cap/limit that is on the ISA. We are first time buyers who have successfully bought a house valued (sale price) at £250,000. However, we purchased the house for £260,000 after bidding with the sellers. On the government websites, it uses the…

ISA transfer date
Hello, I have been searching online for days for the answer to this question - I wonder if anyone can help. When an ISA is transferred, how is the ISA transfer date allocated? Nationwide exiting JISA market
I missed the significance of this when the consolidation of Nationwide children accounts was first announced but it's true there is no longer a Junior ISA account available to open on the Nationwide website. Transferring S2B ISA to LISA
Hi everyone Sorry if this has been asked before or it’s a really stupid question. I’ve been saving in a save to buy isa for the last two years. It’s got a few grand in it. I’ve recently gone freelance and am earning a lot more than I was previously and after some research it appears I’d be better of using a LISA. What’s…
