Nationwide exiting JISA market

I missed the significance of this when the consolidation of Nationwide children accounts was first announced but it's true there is no longer a Junior ISA account available to open on the Nationwide website. While the new Future Saver account is fairly attractive and existing JISA accounts will have to continue (I can't see Nationwide transfering them to a competitior) it's still a noteworthy change in the market.

I wonder if my parents will be tempted enough by the 3.5% interest rate to allow me to cash out the hopeless premium bonds they keep making me buy my son with the £100 gifts for his birthdays and christmas.
