steam cleaning curtains!
Can 100% cotton curtains shrink after simple steam cleaning? I've been told its fine to do but now my ex landlord is trying to claim for damages saying they have shrunk by 5cm (after he saw the cleaning receipt) which we certainly did not see on checking. Thanks very much

Undermount sink installation: does it NEED a template?
We've recently bought an undermount kitchen sink to be fitted to a new solid wood worktop. I bought the sink online here. The sink was supplied without a template, and having phoned around no template is available for it. However, the website I bought it from provides this document, featuring 'Inset Hole' dimensions. The…

Bosch washing machine problem - brushes?
Got a Bosch WAS32466GB washing machine. It's 3 years old. I've had the feeling it's been a shade noisier lately, not a lot just enough to make me think it wasn't exactly 'right'. Yesterday it stopped working completely and flashed up error code F43. A quick google tells me this could be motor related. I found instructions…

Padlock I can't get open
Hi all There's an old shed in my back garden that has been secured with a padlock for about 3 or 4 years. I've decided it's time to get it cleared out but the padlock is rusted, the key no longer fits or goes in all the way. It's a plastic shed so it's a moulded plastic hole that the padlock goes through. What's my best…

There seems to be something strange going on with the comings and goings there, which makes me suspect benefit fruad, but that's a side issue. The main…

Neff appliances - can you mix Series ?
Hi We had intended to get a range cooker in a new kitchen, but personally I am steering towards separate quality appliances (probably German) Re: Neff, will a series 1 built-in double oven look ok alongside a Series 3 microwave?
