Nustone? anyone used them?

Hi, Im looking to buy some sandstone or yorkstone paving slabs and have two questions.

1. If you had a choice, which would you choose and why? (just trying to weigh up our options)

2. Has anyone used the 'Nustone' company, and if so where they ok? They seem to have resonable prices but don't know anything about them so just thought I'd ask. Alternativley can anyone recommend somewhere to buy patio slabs from. Were in the Yorkshire region.

Many Thanks

P.s Im posting in gardening and house forums as I'm not sure which would be best, please feel free to remove if inappropriate. Thanks

Hope this isn't too late, but I had a bad experience with Nustone.

A week after placing my order online, I called them to find out when delivery would take place (their website indicates 3-10 working days after ordering and I had a builder who was going to lay the patio along with some other jobs for me). They couldn't tell me a date and said their courrier would be in contact to arrange delivery but said that it would definitely be delivered within the 10 working days. This was important to me because my builder had other jobs booked.

This continued for several days until it was 10 working days after ordering. I called (it was now a daily occurance!) and they finally agree to check with the warehouse. At 4.30pm they called me back and said the warehouse had spilt paint over the paving so could not deliver. And they had no other sandstone paving at all that they could offer me. Ridiculous!

I have no idea whether they genuinely did spill paint all over the paving and were operating on a particularly tight stock control, or had no paving in the first place and were just stringing me along, but either way it was a terrible experience.

(In the end, I managed to order from another company that day, who delivered on time the next day, much to my and my builder's relief.)

I should add that I chose Autumn Brown colouring as it is quite hardy. I found pavingexpert.com very helpful in deciding and their forum has lots of advice from people in the trade who really know what they are talking about!
