Sofa from Next

Hi

I have been looking for a new suite of furniture and have found one I like in Next. Unfortunately they only have the sofa on display and not the armchairs so we have to take it they are of the same quality as the sofa we have seen.

Has anyone had any experience of ordering furniture from them. I'd love to hear about any experience with them.

It seems to be a minefield deciding what company to use as most reviews I have seen for furniture companies are bad.

I have a Next arm chair that I am very happy with, but I picked it up as shop soiled in a sale so I cant help with ordering process. Its sturdy and the fabric is good.

But I would be happy buying from Next, John Lewis or Habitat. Its the places like DFS and others that turn buying a sofa in to a sales experience that I would avoid.

I am sitting on a Next sofa right now. I bought it because it was cheap for a sofa and they could deliver in 6 weeks. Didn't have any trouble with the delivery even though the men struggled a bit to get it up 2 flights of stairs to my flat!
I've had it for almost 3 years now and it's very comfortable. Not sure how long it will last though...

We have two Next leather sofas and a chair. We bought one of the sofas ex display and so ordered another in the same size and style to match. When it arrived it was slightly smaller than the ex display one so we couldnt swap cushions over so it makes me wonder if the display ones are true to size. We have had them 10 years now and they are still in really good condition and have been really pleased with them.

We bought our three seater sofa from Next and the entire process from ordering to delivery was pretty painless. We were so impressed with the sofa that we bought a loveseat sofa from a different range from them a few years later, again delivered with the minimum of fuss.

We've had the three seater now for 7 years, and the loveseat almost 3, and despite the cat's best efforts to ruin the upholstery, they remain comfortable to this day.
