My son has been doing some work for an American company & they have sent him a cheque for $4,000. He has a current account with the RBoS but they charge quite heavy fees for dealing with this. Is there a better way of getting this cheque converted into sterling?

As subject says. I need a replacement for my metal framed sofa bed. I need it to be around 48-50 inces wide. DVD 5.1 + Speakers + Freeview?
Does anyone know where I can find a 5.1 DVD player with speakers which also has freeview (and therefore digital radio too) built in? I found a system for about £100 with a built in FM radio but no freeview. Any help would be much appreciated. Jon.
