New colour tv wanted

I'm looking for a colour tv for my bedroom... looking for a bit of bargain :)

At the moment, I have a very old ferguson portable black and white tv lol and really need a colour tv and one that I can use with a vcr as I have one of those, although I've had that a few years now.

Anyone point me to a bargain :D

If its a portable that you are looking for, have a look in all your local supermarkets and compare prices. I got one a couple of months ago in Tesco for £49.99.

You'll be looking for another portable then....Check your local Somerfield, they often have some TV's. And Tescos.

A normal crt TV will have a better picture than a LCD TV, and as it will be portable anyway so small footprint, you are prolly best to go for a normal TV. You might like to look for a widescreen TV, and they are hard to find in small screen normal crt TV, but there are quite a few widescreen LCD TVs in a smallscreen size.

Together we can make a difference.
  • cheapest portables are about £49 in asda, tesco, argos, and comet.

dixons and currys used to sell a 'waltham' portable tv for £49 but i was looking it up online for a link and it appears to have vanished into thin air to be replaced by a more expensive 'ferguson' model.

    comet model

    proline £49

    argos model

    beko £49.

i couldn't find pictures of the asda and tesco models (no one selling any on ebay)

if like me you are just after something cheap to watch match of the day or freeview on, i am certain these will be ideal- all have scart sockets so adding other devices (vcr, dvd, digital) will be a walk in the park.
    hope this helps
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)

    Okies,

Ben avert your eyes, I tend to write as I think -which isn't always coherent either- on we go....

I just looked in Makro @ TVs

The cheapest they have is a 14" crt Watson or Goodmans (same TV different badge) for 40 +Vat

Or you could get a 14" crt with built in dvd player, from 70 +Vat (incidentally these are 70 inc vat @ Tescos)

LCD TVs are all over the 100 pound mark, 15" about 150 squid
    17" (widescreen) 180 squid
LCD with built in dvd start around 250 for 17"

strange isn't it that 14" are the cheapest, if you go down in screen size or up in screen size they get more expensive.
