Me & my boyfriend/partner is moving into a rented house in 2 weeks time. I've always lived with my parents & he was house sharing so everything was included. Buy mundic C house in Cornwall?
We are looking at houses to buy in Cornwall and have found one which we are told is classed as 'mundic grade c'. Having read what is available in the net regarding this it doesn't sound good but what I can't understand is how the building is still standing. It was apparently classed as 'mundic grade c' 25 years ago, so…

Old stamp duty?
I've used the old stamp duty calculator for 2014. It says I pay £1500 fee in stamp duty for the property price of £155000. Is this correct? How come it's more in 2014 than it is now , when stamp duty has gone up??? 2. If you paid in July 2014 can you reclaim any difference in fees for the cheaper price?

Negotiating without a bidding war
Hi, I hope someone here can help us? Last Monday we put an offer on a house, which was rejected. We have been biding our time and considering a higher offer. We've now learned that there has been another offer on the property. Where do we go from here? is the EA likely to tell us what the other offer was? And how do we…

My issue is this. I am to be buying my friend's house, but the plan was to do it in two years when my fixed term contract becomes permanent (I work in education for the council). results of damp&timber survey
Hello I instructed a damp & timber survey on a Victorian 3 bed house I intend to buy. This was carried by an independent surveyor so costs are estimates rather than actual quote as his company does not carry out any work. Stamp Duty Question
I became an 'accidental landlord' when I rented out my house and bought (with another mortgage) and moved to another.
