£250 for obtaining a management pack for leasehold?

I am selling my flat, which is leasehold. My usual solicitor I use, gave me a fab quote and said it was the final figure. But then now says they are requesting the leasehold management pack and its £247+vat.
Is this reasonable, is this even necessary considering my buyer is living in the flat shove me with all the same details? He's just bought my flat as its a garden he was after? The figure sounds really steep?!

Yes it does sound reasonable unfortunately even though it is a stupid amount of money for what it is for!
But yes, I sold my leasehold flat and I had to pay a similar fee for my management pack.
Your solicitors original quote might not have taken this into account as they might not have known about the management company's fee at the outset.
This is what the management company will be asking for, your solicitor and you have no choice but to pay it if you want to proceed with the sale.

Well, let's be clear - it's not REASONABLE in the slightest! But it is, sadly, normal :(

Thank you, I suppose the downfall of leaseholds. I'll contact my management department to ask what they charge, as I like to do some research into things, before simply paying charges that "solicitors" request. I want to know the amounts, incase the solicitors are adding on what they feel like.

The flat I am selling the management pack is £150, this flat owns a share of the freehold and the flat is managed by the owners as a limited company.
