Loaned Stamp Duty?
I know mortgage lenders look down on and/or will not lend to those people with a borrowed deposit- so we plan to save it all our selves as I have no intention of taking even part of it as a gift (plus its not being offered! :rotfl: ) We do however keep on being offered some money as a loan, and I am wondering whether…

Will complaints on neighbour by others show up on any searches when I sell.
Currently doing my house up to sell and spending a small fortune to make it decent. I get on well with my neighbours but they are dog sitters and also 'foster' a number of other animals so the place can be smelly in the summer as they leave the door open. I remember them telling me some other neighbours complained about…

Terminate Tenancy Early
Hi, I am 4 months into a 6 month tenancy agreement of a House. We have purchased a new house so need to terminate early. Also, there is a clause in the contract that…

Is the lender's valuation report reliable?
We offered 468 000 for a house two months ago and it was accepted. However since then we have had three key pieces of information that mean we are looking for a discount:* The house has subsidence history and has been partly underpinned * The house needs a whole new roof * Our independent building surveyor valued the house…

Now I am wondering can I give 2 months notice after 4 months of living here and leave after six months on 05/10/13. Or do I have to…

Home report questioning internal works
In the process of getting our property to the market (Edinburgh area) and just had the home report done. Last year we turned an internal window (between our bedroom and a next-door box room) into a doorway to create a walk in wardrobe. We used a 'joiner' from mybuilder for the main works (knocking through and installing…
