Online tennant introduction service
We are going to rent our house out and have found a tenant. He was the previous tenant before we purchased the property and he is keen to move back in. Does anybody have any good ideas for online intro letting services that will do the checks and draw up the tenancy agreement for us? Is House network one of them? Thank you.

Has anyone found a tenant through Gumtree?
I am about to become a LL for the first time (I have read the suggested guides on here - very useful. I have also ordered Renting out your home for Dummies - waiting for it to arrive) and just wondered if anyone has ever had any success, or nightmares, using Gumtree to find a tenant? I like to think there are more honest…

Our vendor seems a little unhinged...
I just got the list of fixtures and fittings through on the flat my partner and I are buying. Several of the things that we'd thought were included in the sale (as told to us by vendor's wife) are not - eg door furniture, cooker, washing machine, etc. That isn't a massive concern, as we'd been planning to replace it all…

Buying help
Hi there, just wondering if anyone can shed any light on whether an estate agent has to check that the seller owns the property prior to advertising as we are in a situation where the solicitors have informed us the seller only owns 50% of the leasehold. We have now paid out on a number of fees and looks like we'll lose…

Bit confused about Advanced rent
So I moved in 2009 to a property and got my notice April this year. I paid £450 first months rent in advance when I moved in (I'm on dss and council won't pay in advance so it was my own cash). The 'deposit in form of a bond' was handled by a company who my landlord once worked with so I never actually paid a deposit. I…

When can solicitors bill you for conveyancing?
I'm completing on a property next month and my solicitors expect their fee in full before completion. Am unhappy about this as want to be certain they've done the job right. Is this standard practice? And wouldn't that mean they are paying themselves from my client account? Any advice welcomed! Thanks

Bankrupt and looking to rent. Will I experience problems?
I've just been informed of some rather gruesome changes to my Housing Benefit which will likely mean that I'll have to leave my current one-bedroom flat and rent a room in a shared house. I would really like some advice from people who know anything about this part of the rental market. How does the process basically work?…
