Giving Notice?

Grandad gave her the flat !!
I need some advice.. My grandad had a 1 bed council flat for years and decided to retire back to the caribbean. My aunt (his daughter) decided to buy the flat under the right-to-buy scheme before he left in 1993 for £15k so it was bought in joint names between the two of them. The flat has been rented out ever since, with…

The saga of a communal front door and the security keys
Warning, this will be long. Also, individual names have been protected for the lulz. I live in an apartment block that has a communal front door and a communal back door. When I moved in, I received one key for each door. The doors lead to a stairwell that goes up to my apartment. I've been there for a year and decided to…

FTB questions - offer and planning/ building regulations
Hi, I'm a first time buyer with a large deposit and can definitely get a mortgage. I've found a house that I like which is on the market for £89,950. It's a 2 bed terraced house which was purchased for £39,950 in 2000 (and doesn't look like it's had anything done to it since then). It obviously needs quite a few things…

Flat with Open Communal Access - mortgage woes
Would just like to get an opinion on this. Out of all of the mortgage providers we have found only 3 will mortgage a flat with "Open communal Access" (doors are along the same corridor with no security entrance for communal tenants). The providers who do are: HSBC, YBS and Nationwide (because the latter already mortgage…

Estate agency dispute - two fees?
Sorry to start a new thread on this but I couldn't find anything that dealt with my particular situation. Negative Equity
We remortgaged a few years ago and the value of the mortgage was around £87K, the value of the property now is around £75K which means we will have a short fall. Enforcing Restrictive Covenants
There is a clause in my Deeds (below) which I am advised may prevent me from enforcing a covenant mentioned in the THIRD SCHEDULE. The argument given is that the neighbour I want to enforce the Covenant against bought his property after me and as it says, “FOR the benefit of the unsold remainder of the land………. I am not…
