Problems with new lettings agents

Hey everyone,

I'm finally jumping onto the property ladder with my partner and we move in 2 weeks which we are really excited about. But am getting wound up by the Letting agents (KFH) trying to let the flat to the next people as they continually give us last minute notice for viewings and then cancel at the last minute without telling us. We keep trying to make sure the flat is tidy when viewings are booked which is a bit tricky while we are trying to pack. Our contract states that they should give us 24 hours notice but their response it sometimes they only know in the morning if someone wants to view. Have let them give short notice as our landlady is nice and I want her to let it out quick for her sake and ours but KFH are really getting on my nerves.:mad: I didnt have this problem the last time I moved out of a place as the agents visiting then were very friendly and made sure the times they visited they brought a few tenants at a time.

Has anyone else had such problems with agents when they were moving out? Is this the norm and I was just lucky last time?

Write to them - politely asking them to stick to the terms of your rental contract.

    Hey PoppySarah,

Yeah, I did just write to them this morning in the hope they might pay attention but will see what their response is (if any)

You can suggest suitable times for viewings - eg: one evening and one day at the weekend - and ask them to stick to that. Whether they will or not is something else.
It's not like you're moving out today and they are desperate to get somene signed up right this second.
