1 yr contract running out
My 1 yr contract is running out in mid July. I have a clause that after six months if I want to leave, I will have to give EA 2 months notice. As it is running out in July, surely I do not have to give notice of leaving!! I think I will do give 1 month just to be polite. Am I doing it right? Thanks

Can I end my rolling contract early?
Hi all We moved into a flat about 8 months ago. Our six month tenancy agreement (through an agency) ended on the 23rd April. We then went on to a rolling contract with four weeks notice. Guarantor
Hi I am moving from Scotland to England and my prospective landlord wants me to get a guarantor. Find it a bit strange, not needed one since I was at uni and had no income, but both my wife and I are in work and earn good salaries. Is this common place in England? In addition the lease contains a clause that the carpets…

Advice on non-returned security deposit
Hi All I recently moved out of a house which was retned privately directly with our landlord (no agency involved). The tennancy was signed and position paid after April 7th 2007, so it covered (I beleive) under the new laws. After the inventory came through, it listed some items as requiring light cleaning (dustin etc) and…
