Pet Menace by Tenants in Flat Upstairs
Hi, Hope someone can advise me. We recently bought and moved into a ground floor flat in a block of 4 flats. Of the remaining three flats, two are the landlords and the third is a tenant who lives right on top of us. They have a big dog which they let it wander in the communal gardens and it goes around the whole garden…

We've exchanged contracts on a new build and are due to complete in a week. Today we had our demo meeting and were told that the garage has no electricity due to being across a boundary. This directly contradicts what we were originally told before we agreed to exchange contracts! Back when we wen to reserve the plot we…

Rental Price Query?
Hi all, Can anyone answer a question for me on how rent prices are regulated, if they are to ensure a fair rent is being charged. Are LLs able to charge whatever they want and if they get it then one up for them or do they have to take into account the market value of the property? Say, for example, two identical 2-bed…

Is there a template of the cost of running a house anywhere?

I know there is the great budget thing that Martin has -…

Self management of flats.
We're finally going through with the purchase of the freehold for our block of 9 flats. We're also going self managed. So I wondered if…

Pros & cons of adding spouse in house purchase
I am in the process of buying a house. I just like to know whether it is better to add my wife's name as the joint owner. The mortgage will be entirely in my name though. Is there any advantage/disadvantage of adding spouse as joint owner? Except the obvious disadvantage in case of any separation later :p

Proceeds of crime - can a house be taken away from you?
Bit of an odd one here and I wasn't sure quite where to put it, but would value others' opinions. First offer accepted fell through due to buyer's mother being taken seriously ill. A…
