Detachable Bra Straps. Help!
These are EXACTLY what I have been looking for for my holidays, to wear with a multiway bra. It is a great bra, the best I can find for shape and support in a halterneck bra, but it is a cream lacy design and the straps look very much like underwear, whereas these look less so. (Strapless is a no-go for me!)…

Black bra
I remember when I was younger and just started wearing bras, eventually I wanted a black one and the thing that stuck with me was that my mum was initially reluctant to buy one for me, the way she reacted was almost like I was going to show it off to someone. She wasn't so shocked a few years later when I bought my first…

Jewellers issue
Hi, I have a white gold ring which was made for me for my 18th birthday with some money my Nan left for me when she passed away. I purposely got it made with a hammered (rather than smooth) finish so it would be unique. Recently I have lost weight and needed the ring to be re-sized as it was too big, I took it to a local…

post pregnancy hair
Hi all, Had my LO (first) just over 4 months ago and just wondered if anyone had any tips on coping with horrible post pregnancy hair. I did read somewhere that because of hormones your hair doesn't fall out as normal, and that is indeed what I noticed whilst pregnant - so it looked thicker and was less greasy and needed…

Side seams are twisted after washing(vests, tshirts)?
Hi, this probably sounds weird and I'm not sure how to explain it really, but if you imagine a new vest or a t-shirt- it has side seams(right and left) that are parallel to each other, but as soon as I wash it they seem to screw up and aren't straight any more- but are twisted gradually at an angle one side to the front…

Select specs - problem with glasses
About a month ago, I ordered some new glasses from selectspecs; (they are exactly the same prescription as my old ones, just a replacement for wear and tear); they arrived last Friday and I found that everything looked "curved"; it's a bit hard to explain, but it's a bit like looking out of a fishbowl - everything in the…

Good first deodorant/antiperspirant
My DS (11) and DD (10) both suddenly seem to have reached that age where we should be encouraging them to use a deodorant or anti per spirant regularly. Which brands do people recommend for younger users please, both in terms of appropriate scents and gentleness on the skin. Don't really want either of them having the…

Boots Vison Plan
Hi, My plan is up for renewal, I pay £16 pcm and for this I get 60 days supply of contact lens, eye tests (lens and glasses) and discounts on glasses (£50 off and half price perscription sunglasses). I know there is an old article on here (from 2007) that advised that payment plans are expensive but I am not sure this is…

Toenail Go Bye Bye?
Right, I've had ingrowing toenails for about 15 years now. I had them wedged when I was 11 (twice right, once left) and that seemed to be ok for 6-7 years. However, since 2004 I've been "actively managing" them (so basically, cutting nail from under the skin and making sure it doesn't hurt as much, can involve a lot of…
