My 23 year old brother is having really bad back pain at the moment and is having trouble getting the doctors to take him seriously. They just gave him paracetemol (sp?) for the first 3 months and he is now having problems in what every position he is in, moving or not. They have finally referred him to a specialist but…

Wheelchairs
Does anyone know who/how/where you get a wheelchair from please? I have been told through the GP, someone else said through Social Services. OH's condition is deteriorating and a wheelchair for use some of the time would really help and mean he could get out and about more. I tentatively asked our social worker about this…

Started getting one or two infections, and very strange pain on one side every time i…

Electric razor or stick to manual wet shave?
Ever since I've been shaving its been with a normal wet razor, mainly because that's what my dad used. What are the pros and cons of moving to an electric razor? Also there seems so many of them around, which one should one go for? Also I get ingrown hairs once in a while. Would moving to electric solve that problem? thanks

Foot pain
In the last few months I have had a pain in the top of my right foot (on the right side) every morning on waking. It gradually gets better through the morning. A friend has suggested using a foot insole to correct my pronation. I think though before wasting money on an insole I would be better finding a specialist to check…

Absorbing supplements
Good morning! For medical reasons I started to take Glucosomine & Calcuim tablets three times a day. However I am finding the tablets very large and they are not being digested. Gym membership - single people are ripped off
Hiya Is anyone here a member of Amida in Beckenham? It is a really nice, posh gym, spa, health club etc. But it's £75 a month. If I am the partner of a member it's only £54. Is it just me that feels that this is a bit unfair on single people? After all the £54 smug marrieds take up just as much room in the gym / pool as…

Calling all dental staff
Can anyone please advise on the products used at dental surgeries for the purpose of polishing teeth, when you go for a normal 'scale and polish'. I'm interested in trying DIY, at least for my front teeth. I assume the pastes and 'polishing pads' (or whatever) are not prescription medicines or anything. I should be…
