Overpayment and in credit with Tonik
Just got my first energy statement from Tonik. When I started, they (over)estimated my utility use - in fairness there was no evidence other than statistics as to what I would use. Direct debit taken of £87-ish which I knew was more than I would be spending regularly. New statement based on meter readings last night puts…

Nice to see a letter in post today from OVO stating in April Prices will rise by around £100 per year. Only just switched as ex Economey Energy customer - looks like Ofgen did their homework and allowed them to switch to a company that is going to make approx an extra 20 million from just economy energy customers after…

I have just moved into a house and am looking for the best dual fuel tariff. I work away during the week - so most of the time I am only home on weekends/holidays. I heard there were tariffs with cheaper evening/weekend energy - do these still exist? I assume I am looking for a cheap day rate, with a high unit cost? I…

Safe to keep boiler off?
I moved into a flat last year, and it has a combi boiler. I live alone and have had the heating on for maybe 6 hours in the 8 months I've lived here. My gas bill shows my usage compared to the estimate for the year, and even without the heating on, it's probably above the summer estimate. The boiler comes on probably every…

Best Way to Deal with Eon
I am part of a new build complex in South London where Eon have a exclusivity contract, and I cannot switch. This wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for their pricing, service, and eagerness to pass on all costs to their customers. To add some context, the complex their contract is for has had a network quality issue…

Flow energy drama!
We switched to Flow Energy last year from Scottish power because they had a cheaper offer. We been paying Flow £105 a month for 3 bed small terrace and recently got told that our direct debit has been increased to £263.00 now because we owe £756.00 in debit. I couldn't believe this overcharge, rang them up and all they…
