Npower dispute ombudsman involved - credit rating?
I have a long running dispute with Npower regarding the issues with their billing system, which started with an erroneous transfer in January 2013 and continued with generally appalling customer service from them. Hi, I have recently moved out the property I was renting. When I moved into the property 7 months ago, I took metre readings and called NPower to set up an account with them. I was told that their computers were down but that I would be sent a letter within 12 days, at which point I would have to call again and hand over…

Switching supplier worth it?
[FONT="]All this changing energy supplier is great in theory, but practically it’s not. They have you by the balls, in that, they can screw you around as much as they want and there’s not much you can do. Complaining takes so much life out of you, not to mention all the time we haven’t got, that it’s not worth the…

Empty flat incurring 'standing charge' from Scottish Power
My Mum owned her own flat and always paid her electricity bill on time. Unfortunately towards the end of her life she suffered with dementia, and was admitted to a nursing home prior to her death in 2011. I have only just managed to find a buyer for her flat ... so, in other words, her flat has been empty & uninhabited for…

New-build flat and renewable heating system
Hi, I'm hoping this isn't too niche a topic and that some other MSEs have come across this issue before. A bit of context, I part-bought a new build flat and moved in to it about a year ago. At the time of my purchase, I was sold the 'benefit' that the building has a Combined Heat and Power bio-gas boiler in the basement…
