Npower dispute ombudsman involved - credit rating?
Options
I have a long running dispute with Npower regarding the issues with their billing system, which started with an erroneous transfer in January 2013 and continued with generally appalling customer service from them.
My complaint has been with the energy ombudsman since October 2013 - they have asked for the file from Npower and, at the last update, the ombudmsan service are waiting for the complaint to be assigned to an investigating officer (or mediator, I can't remember which) as Npower have requested mediation.
In the meantime the Ombudsman has written to Npower to request that they stop hassling me for the outstanding amount that I owe, but I keep receiving letters/ reminders/ demands for payments - Npower seem to be ignoring the Ombusman's request. The frequency of letters amounts to harassment in my opinion,
Long story short, I want to continue to pursue my complaint via the Ombudsman, but they don't seem to be in a hurry in helping to resolve my dispute. In the meantime, how can I insure that this doesn't affect my credit rating?
I've moved house during this time so Npower are no longer my supplier, so there's no danger of being cut off - I'm only concerned with protecting my credit report.

You can ask to post a notice of correction to anything you believe incorrect but that's about it http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/faq/AR5.html0

ombudsman is as much use as a chocolate teapotDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
