Being a newbie this is my first post on the forum so I hope someone can help. I had a dual fuel rise and fall agreement with British Gas which has just expired. The new agreement they have offered is just a fixed rate. Is now a good time to sign up for a fixed rate untill 2010? Or should I wait and see what the next few…

Happy New Year all! I've just had a call from Eon saying they're sorry to see me leave and yes, you guessed it, I had never asked to leave! For once they were very helpful and told me it was Scottish Power who had initiated the transfer. This has all been done without my permission and I'm annoyed to say the least. I've…

Changing from pre-pay...do I have to go with British Gas??
Hi all, When we moved into our house there were pre-pay meters for gas and electric. They are quite expensive and I'd like to get them changed over. The gas is with British Gas. Do I have to go with them if I want to change it over or can I call another supplier and they will just sort the old pre-pay meter out? Thanks

Southern Electric or Atlantic?
I'm looking to switch supplier at the moment, going for dual fuel I think, and after a bit of research it comes down to these two. I realise they are both sub "brands" of Scottish & Southern Energy but wondered - which of the two gets the bigger thumbs up (or the smaller thumbs down) out there? Cheers, Jess

At that time, fuel had been going up, they guaranteed me straight away a saving of 100.00 in DD charges made by my current supplier - Southern Electric. I agreed and switched over. As months went on, my DD crept up to…

New Energy Supplier
Has anyone any information on first:utility services? There was a R4 programme which mentioned it and I looked at the site online. Basically, it seems that they provide smart metering - which means that you only pay for what you use, month by month, neither more nor less. Also what they call intelligent energy whereby they…
