Changing suppliers - making cashback.
With increase in energy prices, even with looking at the comparison websites none of the companies are coming any cheaper. Currently on EON Price Protection 16. One way I am thinking of funding the increased prices, is to move around say 2 - 3 companies and get money from the cashback i.e Quidco etc. Say for e.g I move…

Breaking news: Cut in gas and electricity prices!
Only problem it's Northern Ireland only. Interestingly the cuts were initiated only AFTER an independent review instigated by the utility regulator. How the hell can our energy companies continue getting away with these rip-off prices? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/northern_ireland/7782531.stm

British Gas. Would be funny if it wasn't true.
This is a bit long but I'll try and make it as concise as possible. When I moved into my house in August 2007 I set up my gas and electricity (G & E) with British Gas. Purely because I believed it would be easier to have everything in the one place. Everything was fine until April 2008. I received my final electricity bill…

Independent Gas Transporters - should I pay more?
I live on a relatively new housing estate and the gas does not come through British Gas/ Transo pipes (at least not the last few miles). I am charged a higher rate for this but I think I heard OFGEM saying this was wrong and the money should be refunded? Can anyone send me a link to this ruling so I can chase my money???…

As this is the first time we are moving into property where we would pay bill ourselves I have no idea what should I do to put all the bills on our name starting from Friday. The property is managed by an agency, maybe they should…

PC electric consumption
I've got one of those meters you plug into the socket then plug your appliance into that and it tells you the usage, cost etc. I plugged my laptop into it 2 hrs ago and it's only showing a usage of 0.040kw. Is this right? It sounds very low to me, I'm wondering if I haven't set the device up properly.
