Scottish Power -Social Tariff™ -free advetising on BBC Scotland

Anyone catch the constant mention of SP's new social tariff? It's been on every BBC Scotland news/bulletin show in the last 24hrs. Of course with all these celebrity news programmes no actual information.

Nothing on SP's new look eco-friendly website apart from CareFree Plus www.scottishpower.co.uk/Home_Energy/Product_Information/CareFree_Plus/ which only mentions the over 60s. Their recent press releases mention nothing either.

Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks :)

Hi Jemma, usual for the energy providers to put you onto the highest tariff, then knock off social discounts.
The net price is then in line with online billing.
This is worth investigating because Scottish Power are currently offering £87.50 kickback via Quidco.

I know about the Quidco as I got the same to move to them :D Every penny counts!

I've emailed them for a response and will post what they say.

Be careful Jemma when applying thru Quidco to delete any cookies from Scottish Power.
When trying to find out which tariff on 0845 2700 700, they gave me the runaround, told me to ring 0141 272 6042. Trying to find an 0800 number.
