Collection only non show how to cancel?
I avoid listing collection only like the plague due to timewasters but have a few larger inherited items to rehome, none worth much and I would Charity shop them but don't trust them not to throw in the skip cos they're not perfect and they were my mothers beloved possessions and she wanted them to go to good homes. Anyway…

Ebay postal complaints address
I bought an item off Ebay, seller sent it by Hermes tracked. Web shows it as having been delivered but it wasn't and Hermes have confirmed this in writing. Royal Mail speedy customer service
I received a voicemail earlier "Hello, we're following up on the enquiry you made last year, if you still require our services, please call..." It was an online enquiry made in November. 6 months for a call back is impressive stuff.

Ebay pending payment
Hello I sold 2 items to the same person yesterday and the emails from Ebay said the items were sold and paid for and to despatch. As I was at work, I arranged for collection for today. However, when I logged into my Ebay account, it says that payment hasn't been made and is being processed by Paypal. Logging on to my…

Item not received - Chinese seller
Hi Everyone, I'm not sure where I stand with an item I bought from a Chinese seller with tracking. I ordered an item on the 11/04/16 and it still hasn't arrived. Seller dispatched on the 12/04/16 and tracking is currently showing as arriving in Heathrow on the 22/04/16 but I would have thought that it would have arrived at…

PayPal cases
If you allow a PayPal case with no tracking and INR time out and PayPal decide in the buyers favour, is there any benefit in hitting refund earlier than this? If you just let it time out and you ignore the third warning email from PayPal, are there any charges or other marks on your PayPal account at all?

International sale not delivered
My boyfriend recently sold an item on eBay and sent using international tracked and signed (it was to a country outside of GSP). The tracking shows they have tried to deliver but were unsuccessful and as yet the buyer has not collected from them or arranged redelivery as far as I can tell (delivery was attempted 10 days…

I'm on a whole load of facebook selling groups and in the past month have noticed the 'sell on our behalf and use your paypal account' scam being touted as a business opportunity to make easy money. Last week one lady (who I suspect was hacked) put up the usual cut and paste about making money from home, ideal for stay at…

Replies to Gumtree ads
Hi I use often Gumtree to sell and give things away. Today I had a response via email (I ask people to text) saying 'please reply with your exact address' Would it be unkind to give the address and then tell them that someone else has arranged to buy the item! After all they didn't say they wanted it ;) Another message…

Click and Collect Argos .. for seller
Our son has started selling a few things through Ebay but he is surprised to see Click and Collect next to some of his listings. Is this done automatically by Ebay Personally I thought about it when it first came out, even asking in my local Argos. As they are not a drop off point, it would have been a lot of bother me…

Buyers' Protection within Ebay
So you thought that as a buyer you were protected if things went wrong following an eBay purchase ... I bought some electronic equipment - new - from an eBay seller which in the course of the following 2 months turned out to be faulty - this was not apparent initially. The seller refused to take any responsibility and both…

Payment from an international buyer
Someone has asked me to change my account to include his country so that it will accept his payment if he wins one of my auctions. I've had a look through EBay to see how to do this as I thought that anyone could purchase from another country even if not listed in a seller's page although I do understand that they would…

Is it OK not to reply to a negative?
I have just received my first negative after 1232 transactions on Ebay. I sold a piece of vintage lego that I described as broken, grubby, NOT working, for spares or repairs. The buyer made an offer and before accepting I sent an email to point out that the piece was broken and not working. He was fine with that. He has…

Ebay collect in person
I'm an eBay novice and have just won a bulky item which is marked 'collect in person'. I know sellers don't like Paypal for these transactions. However eBay is prompting me to pay by Paypal/card. What needs to happen next for this message to go away? Should I wait for the seller to contact me? Thanks.
