Sat/Sun 27th/28th February - What small DFW things will you do today?!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Credit Reports
Would you all suggest purchasing the £2 credit report from Experian? I am signed up to bth Clear Score and Noddle, but Clear Score include some creditors that Noddle has excluded and vice versa. Would it be worth ordering the experian report? If so, would you suggest getting a new report every 6 months?

Debt and looks like a debt management plan
Over the years as a single parent I have accumulated £14k worth of debt. £12k on credit cards and the rest on catalogue and store cards. I am just managing to meet minimum payments but as the end of the month comes I am dipping more and more in to my overdraft and cards to cover things. I wanted to get a loan to pay them…

Confused and Frustrated
7 Years ago I got into financial trouble after a business I was involved in folded. I ended up with 2 CCJs and 4 defaults. Three of the defaults were credit cards because I simply was unable to pay them back. I was very down and burried my head in the sand instead of trying to negotiate with lenders. Since then, I have…

Excel Civil Enforcement - TV Licence
Hi guys, hoping I can get some quick help with this! Back in 2014 we had a house visit from a TV licence inspector. It turned out our direct debit had failed and we were a couple of months behind on the TV licence payment. We've had to move house twice in the last couple of years and we were in the process of moving house…

Hi all, Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong thread, but I really need some advice regarding budgeting and managing my money as I end every single month overdrawn despite starting every month with the aim to spend less and save more. I currently have my main current account with First Direct and use this for…

I've done it (sort of...)
I'm now sufficiently close to payday to call this: on Sunday (the day before payday), I will have more money than I owe. This is a £6,500ish turnaround from last summer and probably the first time in nearly a decade that I end a month in the black (admittedly only to the tune of around £50). I still owe £4,000 on a credit…

Question About Making Payments
I'm in the process of setting up a token payment plan with my creditors. I have to pay them all £1 before it is formally set up. How do I make this payment? Do I send them a cheque or a £1 coin or what? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I really have no idea what to do!

Arranged to reduce Overdraft, question?
Hi there, I'm not sure which forum to post in, so I apologise if this is in the incorrect section. Basically, I have a 220 pound overdraft with Nationwide. my job is very seasonal, so I get paid around 400 in the winter, so I always end up back in my overdraft after paying all my bills. I got a letter telling me that…

Have more than one bad credit CC?
I don't want 100s (if fact I don't want any) but do you think having two bad credit CCs (like Aqua Classic and Capital One Classic) would help improve my credit rating more than just having one of these? I've been approved for an Aqua Classic and wondering if I should stick with just that or get one more. My credit score…
