When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Friday 9th October - What small DFW things will you do today?
When we start our debt free journies we focus on the big changes to be made. Cutting up credit cards. Giving up the 2nd car. Cancelling the sky and gym memberships. All of these things are good and important, but along the way it is the small daily habits we form that keep us going in the right direction. This thread is a…

Determined to be debt free
So I am £9783.17 in debt and I am determined to fix it. £5358.69 of this is on a loan at a poor rate of 11.1% - I did this to consolidate debts as I was paying 29.9% APR and got declined for interest free credit cards, so this was the best option. I couldn't get a loan over £6000. This loans for 5 years but allows…

Unknown Debt
Hello, I'm hoping for some advice on what to do. Yesterday I had a letter in the post from a local company who rent and sell kitchen appliances, saying I owe them £546.82. Bizarrely I've never rented anything from them, however my ex-partner did when he had his property on his own. I'm now beginning to think the items in…
