HMRC SA online 31 Jan 2016 = Sunday?
Hi I have a very quick question (sorry if it's been covered elsewhere). With the SA deadline being next Sunday 31st, does it matter if I pushed a same day payment through on the 31st. That is, will HMRC recognise a payment (or attempted payment) at the weekend, or will it be treated as received on Monday 1st Feb? Thanks

self assessment online and calculating what is due
I need to check 2 things. 1. When you fill in a tax return online via the HMRC website, does the software work out the amount due? Is this immediate? i.e. if I submit the tax return over this week, will it tell me what needs to be paid by Sunday? 2. Does it automatically calculate payments on account and also take into…

Paying Self assessment tax on credit card
If you pay your tax bill by credit card there is a 1.5% fee. Fine. Does anyone know if it is treated as purchase or as a cash advance by the credit card company? I have a 0% on purchases card and even with the fee it makes sense for me to pay on the credit card, but only if it is treated as a purchase not a cash advance.

They are willing to accept a working from…
