Paying tax on account

I've filed my SA for 14-15 and it says:

Total amount due for 2014-15 £1,062.90
Plus
First payment on account for 2015-16 £531.45
Total to be added to Self Assessment account due by 31 January 2016 £1,594.35

HM Revenue and Customs will add this amount to your Self Assessment statement of account. It doesn't include any 2014-15 payments on account you may have made or any other amounts outstanding. To help you to decide how much, if anything, to pay by the due date, check your Self Assessment account and use the information above until it transfers over.

Please note: Please carefully check the figures and the amounts due, which are calculated using the amounts you have entered.


Second payment on account for 2015-16 will be due by 31 July 2016 £531.45

However on the 'my tax account page' it says

No tax is due at the moment

I know I owe tax so who should I be paying it to / where and I'm assuming it should be before the 31st Jan deadline?

you have already been told what to do

"use the information above until it transfers over."

it takes time for the account to be updated, pay what you owe in the meantime - simples.
