Section 75....Have I understood this correctly?
If a family member buys a holiday or other item for over £100, but below £30,000.01p, but I pay for it with my credit card and the family member in turn pays me, the purchase does not get Section 75 protection. Is this correct?

So say for example you had one of these cards and you wanted to make a decent one off purchase. Could you purchase it on the CC then over the course of the 24 months pay it…

Sainsbury's doesn't match the Credit Club offer -- what can I do?
I checked my score on Credit Club before applying and was told I was 100% guaranteed for a 22 month 0% balance transfer offer. I applied but the application process froze midway. Waited for several minutes. Moved closer to the router, tried again and was only offered 14 months and a 1% balance transfer fee, an offer which…

Can I charge back if I didn't consent to the sum?
Hi, A medical clinic charged my card with several hundred pounds because apparently the procedure was not covered by my medical insurance (exemption was buried in the small print). At the clinic I signed some document, agreeing to pay something if there's an issue with the insurance. I don't have a copy of that document…

I think my bank messed up my chargeback
In June 2022 I had a bad experience with a hotel that tried to charge us for damage that was there before we stayed there. I raised a charge-back with my bank and on 12/07 I received an email from my bank advising that the charge-back had been raised and the merchant now has 30 days to respond. All good so far. However, I…

mixed promo and non-promo debt on credit card -- which one am I paying off?
Hello, I have a credit card (MBNA), which has a promo offer: purchases made on the first 60 days are interest-free for 12 months. I made a lot of purchases (£8000) in the first 60 days and stopped, but then accidentally made one more smaller purchase (£35) after the promo period. This debt is not interest-free apparently.…

1% Chase cashback vs Stoozing
I have a Chase UK account and a 0% spending Virgin Money credit card. If I use the Chase Mastercard for spending I get 1% on certain (i.e. most) types of spending. I've been working on the assumption that eligible spending on the Chase card is a better bet than stoozing into a 1.5% savings account, as the cashback provides…
