Balance Transfer or not?
Hi All. I've currently got a halifax credit card with £3000 which has an APR of 15%. I would like to transfer this to a 0% card. I was looking at the virgin card as this one is for 16 months. I currently earn £15000 and i am 25. Would this be a sensible option and also would it be obtainable? My credit rating is 999. Thanks

We have had some issues with lots of mail chasing debts fior somone who has never lived at our address (now sorted) so we thought…

Barclaycard - strange problem with ludicrously low minimum repayment
Short version: I have a Barclaycard Platinum Visa, and have recently been switched from a minimum payment of "2.25% of outstanding balance" to their new "interest + 0.25% of outstanding balance" scheme. So far, so good, I'm not unduly worried about that. However, this month, the first of the new scheme, instead of my…

How/when to request credit limit increase?
Hi everyone, My husband and I have always used a cashback card - we repay in full every month. However, now that we have an offset mortgage, it is more rewarding for us to use a 0% card; instead of paying off the card, we pay the amount into an offset savings account. We both applied for Tesco 0% on purchases credit cards.…

Request to freeze interest on CC
Hi, I was wondering whether anyone has managed to do this themselves..... I am currently paying off a huge amount of debt (over 50k), spread over a number of credit cards. Credit Piggybacking
I saw this recently on the Consumerist: http://consumerist.com/5393595/how-to-cash-in-on-your-good-credit "Someone with a good credit score, our credit score seller, would add someone with a bad credit score, our credit score buyer, as an authorized user on their credit card. The buyer wouldn't get the card or get access…

Any lawyers in the room? Wrong title on my credit card!!
Got accepted for a HSBC credit card last week and now realised i've somehow put myself as a 'Dr' instead of 'Mr' :o (wishful thinking), should i be really worried about this as it could be classed as fraud? You'd have thought they may have questioned it when they saw my pitiful income

Just had my very first Fraudulent Transaction
To be honest I'm quite shocked. I am very careful about these things, and have absolutely no idea how my details could have been taken. Fortunately the fraud department at EGG flagged it before they let it go through, so I have to commend them highly on doing a good job. It turned out that someone tried to use my card for…
