Nationwide - Direct Debit Issue
Recently I have had two problems occur with my direct debit to my Nationwide CC. Firstly I reduced my direct debit amount on-line a few months ago. I must confess that a message came up stating that I would then need to make the next payment manually - which I forgot to do so I'm happy to wear the late charge. But last…

Applying for a new credit card
I applied for a Virgin credit card last December (I think) as I was wanting to BT what I had on my existing card. I was rejected but didn't find out why. That was my first attempt and I've never tried since. I ordered my credit report a few months ago and my score was in the good category (around about 920). Haven't…

Barclaycard free credit days
I was one of the B/C customers who was moved over from MorganStanley on the takeover, shortly after they reduced my payment date by 12 days ( because I paid off the balance I thought). I wasn't too bothered although I could have missed the payment date if I had not noticed. Strangely they have now put the payment date back…

Credit Card not appearing on Credit Reports
Hi, Back in 2000 I started a student current account with HSBC along with a credit card. Since then it has been my main card and the limit is up to £8,000 (current balance at £4,000 with the aim to pay it off by April 1st of next year). Over the past 24 months I have only missed one payment and that was due to a payroll…

Barclaycard the cheeky blighters
Just had my statement through and was expecting the due date to be 15th August (its been roughly 15th of each month since I took it out 5 months ago) so I was surprised to see due date was now 4th August. I phoned them to check it wasn't a misprint and when I asked why it had been moved the woman said "A business decision…

All have a perfect payment record (even if it is the minimum). My guess is that MBNA appear in here quite a bit because their…

Do all current accounts with overdrafts allow you to....
pay off a credit card? We have £2874.50 on a barclaycard at 19.9% and I have just been accepted for a £3000 overdraft with my bank, Natwest. So would I be able to pay off the credit card and then pay off the overdraft (if the overdraft is at a lower interest rate of course) thanks x
