Trying to pay off credit cards - Advice on consolidation.
Hi, I found myself in a relationship split that left me in debt and then I had to use my cards to pay bills as I am a single parent. Unfortunately I put a holiday on a card and you guessed it didn't get the 'half' back from the guy. I have started uni and now have no earned income, although previously to that I had worked…

I don't use my Mint card much these days. However I forgot I have linked my e-bay account to my Mint card. Last month I sold an old TV set and was charged by e-bay for the transaction. The charge of £3.58 was made to my Mint card. A month later I got the bill and put on my to-do pile. Because of the low amount owed I…

Going over your credit limit
I know there is a standard charge of £12 with most companies when going over your credit limit but is there a grace period where if I make a payment asap then the £12 charge won't hit the account. Or does the £12 hit the account straight away. How does it work with the following companies:- Barclaycard Halifax Lloyds HSBC…

Capital One Credit Card Fraud - Help please
My friend, Daisy, received a call from Capital One in 2005 informing her that someone was attempting to use an unregistered card in a shop. She told them she was at home and in fact had not received a new card from them. Apparently a new card had been sent to number 23 instead of 23B. As she never used the card she decided…

Credit Report Query
Hello, I have just received my credit report and saw it is full of 's and a few [.]'s. Does this look bad? On the legend it says = unclassified (no payment due or recently opened account) and [.] = no information supplied by lender. Most of the entries are past mobile phone contracts with a few credit card entries. For my…

Dont Pay To Ring Post Office Credit Card Telephone Banking
Due to a typo in the Post Office's guide to using their telephone banking service I have discovered that their free sales number (0800 169 2000) goes straight through to the same people who deal with your account enquiries which would normally require a local rate 0845 call. So use the 0800 number and save some money. This…
