rattling tins!
I give to charity when I can. What I hate though, is being accosted on the street or outside of shops, sometimes in the doorway so you can't avoid them. I do not like being asked if i would like to give, if I want to give i will. Are they allowed to approach you or rattle their tins as you walk by?

Becoming a charity.
My local allotment association wants to become a charity. Whilst there is practical advice on the Charity Commisioners site, it says while there are advantages there are also disavantages but doesn't really go into them or give practical examples.
