Can these cowboys just steal my money & get away with it?
Unfortunately I opened an account with Dozens earlier this year. I'd used the account without issue over the months -- just transferring small amounts from my Lloyds bank account to Dozens, via Faster Payments, and using the Dozens card for small online shopping purchases. The Faster Payments transfers would pop up in the…

What to do after introductory offer ends?
Hi All, Once the introductory rate has expired(ie 5% with nationwide and 3% with Tesco for 12 months on £2K) and you are reverted to standard rates, is it a good idea to return any monies to your main account, and close these so to be eligible for future offers? Is there any reason to keep them open? My credit rating is…

Moving from First Direct to HSBC.
Hi all. Wondering whether anyone could shed some light. I'm looking to leave First Direct. No real issues with them aside from the fact that I sometimes need to withdraw more than the cash machine limit and it's a bit of a faff to ring them and organise so would prefer a physical branch. I have a HSBC round the corner so…

Possible to identify bank from account number?
A family member recently passed away and we are trying to sort out their estate. We have found in their purse a piece of paper which looks like it has a list of account numbers (all 8 digits but no sort codes). Is it possible to identify if these are indeed active account numbers and possibly which banks they belong to?
