Halifax - Overdraft Complaint
Looking for a few opinions on a complaint I've made to Halifax that is getting me nowhere. I'll start off by saying my finances with Halifax haven't been handled great by myself for the best part of 2015-2016. I would pass my overdraft, Halifax would notify me of charges for doing so and apply them a month later. Problem I…

Nationwide overdraft reduction
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experience either with nationwide or another bank of them reducing your overdraft facility with very short notice? I have been with nationwide for 2 years during which time they have allowed me to increase my overdraft no question. I then received a letter last month giving me one months…

GB resident opening an account with Ulster Bank and other questions
This may seem a strange question but I am a resident of Great Britain and I am regularly traveling to Dublin and each time I use my card at the cash machine I of course get charged a fee. I have accounts with RBS and Lloyds Bank. I have been told however if I had a current account with the Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland I…

Pending BACS Transactions
Do any banks (other than HSBC and First Direct) have a pending transactions tab that shows pending CREDITS e.g. BACs that are due to be deposited into your account the next working day? I'm aware that most will show pending cheques and debit card transactions, but few that show your salary for example.

Switch two accounts to joint
Anyone know if it's possible to use the switching service to switch two people's sole bank accounts into a new joint account? Or, similarly, to switch one person's sole bank account into an existing joint account?

Found Cash in Relatives house
Not sure were to post this.. A friend is clearing out a recently deceased family member’s house (He’s the next of kin). They have founds bags of money in excess of £10k. Bank Account Switching - old savings accts
Hi all, I'm looking to switch from Nationwide to HSBC for the £200 reward. I have a flexclusive regular saver (£500pm) and a Nationwide Loyalty saver (£50k) paying 0.95%. Last month's TSB switching bonus offer
I did the MSE offer to switch to TSB recently and I know there was a deadline for the switch to complete in order to get the switching bonus. All of the details have now disappeared from this website. Can anyone remember how much the bonus was supposed to be and what the deadline was? I want to challenge TSB that they…

Bank Account and Quickbooks
Up until now, I have been using a Santander Current Account from which to run my small business. I have two accounts, one of which I get paid into and pay business expenses from, the other I use for general saving and spending and transfer funds between the two as necessary. I run very much an old-school system relying on…

How do pending transactions work?
Hi, I wanted to dispute some transactions that have just gone out of my account as I don't recognise them. They were from yesterday and the day before and are showing on my account as pending transactions. I thought it would have been easier to dispute (stop?) the transactions as they are pending but I was told I need to…

I just wanted to give people the heads up that if you have switched to a First Direct account within the last 12 months, and you have paid in £1000 a month for six months, they will give you £100 if you close the account. That includes switching and closing. I can't post links, but if you go to the FD website and look at…

I tried to close my bank account
A few years ago I had financial difficulties and went on a DMP. So I had to make sure my bank account was not in debt so I could close it. So I posted a letter in my branches letter box informing them the account was to be closed. Then I went away for work not realising that that night some one with a JCB tried to remove…
