NatWest Text Alerts
I recently transferred from Smile to NatWest, mainly on basis of their text alert service. Basically, I have approx. 15 direct debits on my account, all varying in date & amount every month ! This is very awkward to manage, and occasionally an unexpected payment would take me over my overdraft limit. Now, with Smile, they…

HSBC Paying-in slips
I am in France and an English visitor has just received a GBP cheque for several hundred pounds which he needs to pay into his UK HSBC account. The nearest HSBC branches are each an hour away by car in opposite directions, so I've suggested he'd be much better off to post the cheque to his branch in the UK. Otherwise it's…

Upgrading my Santander account - will they re credit check?
Hi there, I've tried hunting for the answer to this on Santander's site but can't find anything. I've been with them for about 3 years so I assume they won't but does anyone…

Fed up with Lloyds/Halifax adverts
Hello all, I have noticed over the past few weeks that whilst I am online viewing my accounts, I can no longer see them on one page without the need to scroll down. I have 3 accounts with Halifax; current, savings and credit card. I used to be able to see them on one screen, but now they are split with offers of new…
