Upgrading my Santander account - will they re credit check?

Hi there,
I've tried hunting for the answer to this on Santander's site but can't find anything. I am planning to upgrade my old preferred in-credit account to a 123 cashback account and was wondering if Santander will do a new credit check on me. I've been with them for about 3 years so I assume they won't but does anyone know for sure?
And please don't anyone tell me how rubbish they are as I'm happy with them (even if I'm the only one) :rotfl:

Not sure how santander works but every other bank is they only credit check you If you upgrade from a basic account to a full current account as this comes with OD.0 -
Well they didn't even bother to credit check me when I applied for my Preferred account, and I wasn't an existing customer, so I don't think they'll do a credit check for an upgradeDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

No credit check just standard fraud check provided you are not upgrading from an Instant Plus or Basic account.0

That's good to know. Not that it matters too much if they did credit check me, but I didn't want the footprint on my file.
Thanks for the answers guys, much appreciated xDeposit £5880/£10,000Sparkle Challenge - Loose 1 stone 0/14lbs
