My employer is…

Switching current accounts - direct debits
Hi all, I'm thinking of taking advantage of one of the cash offers for switching current accounts - either Halifax or First Direct. However, my only worry is regarding the switching of my direct debits. Do they make sure that this is done properly? Basically I don't want them to mess it up so that I end up with late…

Santander On-line Glitch
Just come across a wonderful glitch in the Santander on-line paperless system. If you open a new account and then select that account to go paperless it wipes out all your previous stored e-documents. Wonderful ............. Luckily I save them all to my hard drive when received.

Halifax Personalised Debit Cards
I have seen a website that allows you to add a personalised picture to your Halifax debit card free of charge (http://www.halifaxphotocard.co.uk/), I was wondering if anyone knows if this is legit? I can't find a link from Halifax's website anywhere, and as it isn't a halifax.co.uk page, I'm sceptical as to whether it is…

Lloyds Current account
I always read the weekly e-mail with great interest. One thing I don't understand is why the Lloyds TSB Vantage current account is never mentioned. There is no charge for this account, you have to pay £1000 in per month, but it pays up to 3% interest on balances up to £5000. If you can keep £5000 in for the whole year it…

Using new accounts for rewards only
Hi, I'm a student and was wondering if all these banks that are advertising rewards such as £125 or £100 are worth playing? I mean I could go and open all the accounts, and swap £1000 or so between them each month and then end it up back in my account. I could do all this electronically and it wouldn't make a difference.…
