No, HSBC, I have £5!
So - I paid £5 into my HSBC account via the deposit machine as I had no money. Internet Banking is showing my balance as £5 (which has cleared) but my available balance is only 51p :eek: I spent £1 on a song from iTunes (my avail. balance had enough to cover the cost) but it's not showing up as a transaction! Any ideas?

Building Societies and IR
Why do Building Societies not have to disclose larger deposits and also interest calculations to the IR like banks? The reason I ask, I have been reading through a thread about banks and information they may have to give to the IR and find some of it hard to believe especially when building societies don't do this.

Lloyds Classic with Vantage account.
Just checking that with the Vantage account, if you keep between 5 &7k you get AER of 4% on the whole balance? If so then it's better than any of the savings accounts on offer right? Not sure why the MSE best banking accounts list doesn't recommend it more. Maybe I've missed some big drawback.
