Two current accounts
I have a current account with my bank. Is it perfectly legal to open a current account with another bank and use both of them ? I have a "Buy to Let" and would like to use the new current account for the "Buy to Let" stuff and keep my main account for my general banking.

Nationwide - 'Payment Outcomes'
This is something which is genuinely useful to have - and is necessary because Nationwide's online banking can't show full details for transactions taking place today - except on their 'mini-statement' page. I had a future-dated payment set up to Capital One to leave on 21st of the month. But the 21st is a Sunday [and not…

Nationwide problem, complaint online ignored
October 2009 Nationwide offered £50 reward for those agreeing to let Nationwide transfer Direct Debits to Nationwide flexaccount from another bank. I took up the offer. The transfer process was a nightmare quite contrary to Nationwide's assertion that 93% of customers found the transfer ran smoothly. I found it did not! I…

RBS Personal Annual Statement
Today I recieved a 10 page A4 booklet from RBS detailing everything about my current account for the last 12 months, all my monthly balances, direct debits, dates of online activity etc etc. This document must have been costly to produce, time consuming & in my mind totally wasteful. There is nothing in this that my…

Secure method of paying out a large amount of money!
I have found a motorhome I wish to buy. I suggested paying by bank draft, however the seller has suggested a bank transfer. Once this money is in their account they will bring the motorhome to me some 300 miles away. While I'm not suggesting there is anything untoward with this, (we have met and spent time with the…
