Hi all im wondering how long it takes for a hsbc to hsbc online fund transfer to take

also what time to direct debits come out in the day and do they try multiply times in the day before charging you

Can't answer with regard to online banking, but recently moved over £20K from FD to HSBC (same company) by phone and it was sent (and cleared) immediately.

They don't come out at 00:01. I have liked to check many occasions to find its not updated at midnight. Very annoying. But it is early morning some time.

However, I imagine the funds need to be in by midnight.

just gonna have to go down the bank in the morning and add the extra funds and ring the insurance company to check if they attempted to take it and if they had they can take it now as it will be in there wish i noticed it this morning so i could have sorted it out today
just gotta hope they dont charge me as i cant really afford that

Hsbc TO hsbc online transfers are virtually instantanous, transfers from HSBC to other banks can take upto 2 hrs, I regular use tarnsfers to pay for items on fleabay, but Hsbc are now getting a pain with adhoc payments that are not regular by blocking the transfer and making you ring a 0845 no to unblock which for me is a pain because i have free calls package that does not include 0845 nos, spent 1/2 hr today playing hell with them today because they had promised to lift hold for 12 months.
