Turning A&L current a/c into joint a/c
I've got an A&L premier direct current account (in my name only) with anniversary coming up in April. Thinking ahead, I've decided to move all my personal banking over to my Nationwide account. But all the DDs and standing orders relating to the flat I rent with my bf (bills, rent, etc) come out of this account and there's…

Citi Plus v.s Citi Access
Both the citi plus and access accounts are current accounts the difference is that the plus account give some more benefits but charge a fee of £10/month and the access account dont give those extra benefits but dont charge a fee either. Nationwide current a/c used abroad
A simple question. I am going travelling just about everywhere soon and wanted to confirm that I would incur no charges when using a Nationwide debit card to either make atm withdrawals or with purchases in shops etc. They famously claim there are no charges but these organisations do like to hide things in the terms and…

I applied for the above online and although it has not shown on my online account, I got my card this morning. I was surprised to see that only my initials and the last part of my surname are printed on the card. Does this matter, I have got three christian names and my surname is in three parts which mean the card is…

Mis-advice of the cheque clearing cycle
A few months ago i lost £2000 because I feel my bank misadvised me in regards to the cheque clearing cycle. I had banked a bankers draft and proceeded to call my bank to see if it had cleared. The call rep then confirmed it was due to clear for Interest purposes and then corrected himself and said withdrawal purposes on…

How can my boyfriend get a new account when he is overdrawn?
Hi Folks, I believe Barclays will get shirty when my boyfriend (who needs me to ask all the questions because he’s not computer-literate) starts reclaiming his penalty charges. So he ought to open a parachute account. He says the problem is that he is always overdrawn and doesn’t think a new bank will let him have an…

I recently moved house. Before I moved I, enquired of Halifax (whom I bank with with) about House Insurance for the property I was considering buying. Refused a current account without an overdraft
Wow, I didn't think my credit history was that bad. They've offered me a cash account without a Visa card, which is no good to me. The only thing I can think of is referral charges for unauthorised overdrafts, but they have charges on the cash account too for returned direct debits.

Went into a branch today (first time in yonks) and saw a leaflet for 6.17% Current account etc. immediately pulled my MSE socks on and asked if this was a new customers only deal.
