Need a bank account, but keep getting rejected

Hi everyone,
I currently bank with NatWest (boo-hiss-boo), who are charging me £12 per month to use the account (you can pick your jaws up off the floor now). I want to change to a new bank, but keep getting rejected. I've no idea why. I'm coming up to 21, have no adverse credit scoring that I'm aware of, and just want to put my money into my current account without being charged for it.
Any ideas?

Have tried Nationwide, Halifax, Abbey, and possibly some others further back. Have obtained various credit reports, and nothing adverse showing on them.No longer visiting these forums.0

What is the £12 charge for? Is it because you have a packaged account, Advantage Gold etc? If so, just cancel the Package and keep the ordinary current account you'll be left withThanks to all who post comps :A :T0

I had a look at Citibank, but personally I'd prefer a "high street" bank, I think. No longer visiting these forums.0

Refer to post #8.
Natwest don't charge for standard accounts. If you are paying £12pm then you have an advantage gold account. Just go in the bank and cancel it. Simple0
